The 2024 Majas Blanc from Domaine de Majas is classified as IGP Côtes Catalanes and is composed of equal parts Macabeu, Rolle, Grenache Blanc, and Chenin Blanc. The vines are on average 35 years old and yield approximately 38 hectoliters. Grown on clay and limestone soil, the grapes are harvested by hand, fermentation is spontaneous, and aging takes place in stainless steel tanks without oak – a fresh, crisp South French wine. Colour: Pale yellow with green reflections. Nose: The 2024 Majas Blanc from Domaine de Majas presents a clean and uncluttered nose, lacking some of the wildness of past vintages. Impeccably clean and clear, it combines impressions of wet pebbles with the zest of lemons and green mandarins, complemented by subtle mineral notes alongside Mediterranean maquis with hints of sage, thyme, and chervil. A delightfully fresh and refreshing wine from the sunny south of France. On the palate, the wine is crystal clear with a fine viscosity and delicate salinity. The pronounced fruit is more evident in the extract than as a dominant theme; the ripe acidity stretches across the entire palate and is crisply contoured by invigorating herbal aromas. A joyful everyday wine that enhances daily happiness.
